A new approach to waste

Part of the Furniture Bank group

Furniture Bank recycles furniture. If you have more than just furniture to get rid of then get in touch with our sister company, Gloucestershire House Clearances. This is part of the Furniture Bank group of companies and specialises in clearing household waste with an aim to recycling as much as possible back into our local economy. We operate like a standard house clearance company with a social enterprise twist.

We offer the following services:

  • Full House Clearances

  • Partial House Clearances

  • Garage Clearances

  • Garden Clearances

  • Local Man & Van Service

  • Probate Clearances

Gloucestershire House Clearances regularly work with solicitors, auction houses and families to clear houses and can work within a quick timescale if needed. Fully licensed to carry and dispose of waste safely. Their goal of being a zero waste organisation in the future is a tall order but if any company can its them! They are developing a circular economy model where they take waste from peoples houses and find a way to feed it back into the economy. For example, they extract copper from the waste such as wires being stripped to ensure it gets the best value for reusing it. They tell us at the moment that their biggest challenge is the amount of books they collect. Any ideas to help with this?

Email us with your needs to tim@ghclearances.co.uk or call between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday on 01453 367 633 to book in a free, no obligation quote.

Within the Furniture Bank shop you will find the Gloucestershire House Clearance shop that is run on a Pay-As-You-Feel basis. Bric-a-brac collected from our house clearances are put in this shop to save them from landfill so head down and find some treasures, all usable furniture collected from house clearances are passed onto Furniture Bank for us to raise vital funds.

Both Furniture Bank and Gloucestershire House Clearances shops are open to the public for browsing and buying from Tuesday to Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
